In this position you will work both independently and in conjunction with the Project Team, Service Department, and Sales Professionals; preparing AutoCAD drawings to be reviewed by customers and engineers, utilizing related technical information throughout the sale and implementation process.

Basic Qualifications

  • Post-secondary certificate or associate degree in Engineering Design and Drafting, or Architectural Technologies, with a minimum of 3 years work experience
  • Effective and articulate writing skills
  • Proficient computer skills, (Word, Excel)
  • AutoCAD experience
  • No criminal record
  • Superior communication skills
  • Structural design experience is an asset

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend project meetings with team members and customers as required
  • Operate CAD and drafting work station
  • Provide timely technical assistance and solutions
  • Develop and prepare design sketches
  • Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
  • Verify drawings conform to specifications and design data
  • Write technical reports
  • Prepare contract and tender documents
  • Complete project responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule
  • Maintain all revisions of project drawings

Travel 

This position will be based in Calgary, but may require limited travel

cam|industrial is looking for experienced Service Technicians to join our Edmonton and Calgary crews. Preference will be given to individuals experienced in welding, industrial dock and door repair, warehouse equipment repair, packaging equipment and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, and good knowledge of electrical requirements. Additional training is available.

Skills/Qualifications:

The successful candidate must be results driven, an effective listener and communicator, energetic, and motivated to succeed. You must have a valid driver’s license, and be fluent in English. A clean driver’s abstract is required.

Position Overview

Provides leadership and direction to more junior technicians in order to fulfill the obligations of the team safely, efficiently and profitably.

Responsibilities

  • Completes Work Orders and ensure customer sign off
  • Report all changes to scope of work on work order and have customer sign off acknowledging  the change
  • Submits all work orders at the end of each day for invoicing or rescheduling if required
  • Completes team daily timesheets noting any extra labour assigned and submits at the end of each shift
  • Ensures inefficiencies are noted and reported or corrected immediately
  • Ensures the interior and exterior of assigned vehicle is kept in a clean and organised manner
  • Addresses any disciplinary or safety concerns and reports if corrective action is not possible
  • Ensures their crew follows company policies and procedures
  • Reports and provides corrective action where possible regarding unsafe job sites, accidents or incidents involving or caused by Cam personnel or contracted labour

Qualification / Skills

  • Minimum 3 years in an Mechanical/Industrial field
  • Highest Service Technician designation within the team
  • High school diploma
  • Good leadership  and interpersonal skill
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good understanding of Workplace Health & Safety
  • Clean drivers abstract
