Vertical Lift Modules (VLM’s) and Carousel Storage Systems are excellent storage options for small to large items. They provide a significant improvement in storage density as compared to traditional shelving and racking systems by utilizing the full ceiling height within a building, eliminating walkways or aisles, and optimizing storage on each shelf within the system. Clients often recapture up to 60% of the space required for a traditional shelving system.
When choosing between a Vertical Lift or Carousel, available ceiling height is the first consideration and typically Lifts are more cost effective over 16 feet and Carousels are more cost effective under 16 feet. Some applications, and the items being stored, may be better suited to either a lift or a carousel regardless and the available ceiling height may not be a concern.
